  • Comment: Please do not remove past AfC decline templates. These are left for future reviewers so that they can review your draft and check that any prior concerns have been addressed. Removing these templates can make it more difficult for your draft to be accepted. Thank you. --gurkubondinn 13:15, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
  • Comment: The Vogue piece is good, but we need another source that is reliable, independent, and that dedicates significant coverage to Guellaty in order to establish notability. All of the other sources you currently have either don't seem to provide sufficient coverage, or are not independent of Guellaty. MCE89 (talk) 07:48, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

Career

Guellaty began her media career in Paris, contributing to publications including Elle France and Vanity Fair France.[1] She later became editor-in-chief of Style.com/Arabia, which The Guardian described as Condé Nast's first Middle East launch.[3]

In 2018, Guellaty launched Mille World. Vogue described the website as a platform for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle commentary based on Arab youth culture, with coverage of designers, artists, and cultural movements in the region.[2] The Guardian reported that Guellaty created the platform after identifying a lack of media speaking to young Arab women and Arab readers.[3] Dazed described Mille World as a multimedia online platform focused on Arab youth culture, arts, and fashion.[5]

Guellaty also operates Mille Creative, a marketing and creative agency based in Dubai and Riyadh.[1][6]

Writing

Guellaty published the novel Le Sablier with Éditions Joëlle Losfeld, part of Gallimard, in 2006.[4] The novel won the French-language first novel prize at the 10th Comar d'Or literary awards in 2006.[7][8]

Other roles

Guellaty serves as a board member of Fashion Trust Arabia, a non-profit initiative supporting designers from the Middle East and North Africa.[1][9]

Recognition

In 2025, Guellaty was included in the BoF 500, The Business of Fashion's index of people shaping the global fashion industry.[1][10][11]
