Description
The Sternenko Community Foundation was founded by Serhii Sternenko in 2025. In the beginning, it was a volunteer team of five individuals who had been organizing fundraising campaigns and procuring aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.[1][2][3]
The charitable foundation was subsequently formally established to improve operational efficiency and attract new partners.[4]
The foundation states that 100% of donations intended for military support are used exclusively for the procurement of drones and equipment for military units. No funds are allocated to operational expenses or salaries.
History
The Sternenko Community Foundation was established in response to the need for the rapid and large-scale provision of modern technological equipment to Ukrainian military forces during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The organization's mission is to supply Ukraine's Security and Defense Forces with drones—primarily FPV drones—and to support the development of unmanned aerial technologies. As of October 2025, the foundation is the largest non-governmental supplier of FPV drones.[5]
During 2025, the foundation raised more than UAH 3.1 billion to support the Ukrainian military and procured and provided over 117,000 FPV drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.[6][7]
On 26 September 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Sternenko Community Foundation signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation. The document was signed by First Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk and the foundation's Executive Director Oleksandr Skarlat.[8]
On 22 January 2026, Serhii Sternenko, the founder of the foundation, became an Adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, on enhancing the use of UAVs at the frontline.[9][10][11]
