Early life

Myles Anderson was born in Roanoke, Virginia, and relocated to Houston, Texas at age three, where he was raised.[1] He has credited Houston's diverse cultural environment as a foundational influence on his artistic identity and entrepreneurial mindset. He began his creative career in 2011, pursuing songwriting, rapping, music video directing, and modeling simultaneously.[2]

Career

Beginnings and Roc Nation (2011–2019)

Stockz released his debut mixtape, Breathing Room, in 2011, followed by Mylesdeep in 2012 and the Ignorance EP in 2014.[2] Throughout 2017 and 2018, he independently released music that gained the attention of executives from Roc Nation, Jay-Z's management and entertainment company, and became a management signee of Roc Nation in late 2018.[2] He also spent time in Los Angeles, expanding into modeling and brand partnerships, including a campaign for Samsung during a month-long stay in South Korea.[1] In 2019, he released the album Skateboard Cane, named after one of his longtime aliases.[3]

REVOLT, Web3 and breakthrough (2019–2022)

Stockz returned to Houston and built a multifaceted career across music, media, and entrepreneurship. He hosted the show Meta Money on REVOLT TV, educating audiences on NFTs, cryptocurrency, and the Web3 space.[1] He appeared in modeling campaigns for Adidas, Samsung, Hot Topic, New Balance, and Playboy/Joyrich.[4] He collaborated with artists including Too $hort, Guapdad 4000, and Lute of Dreamville Records.[4] His songs "Manhattan," "Smooth Boogie," and "10" each accumulated millions of streams across digital platforms.[4] He performed at Rolling Loud in Miami, City Winery in New York, and the Shrine Pavilion in San Antonio, and appeared as a special guest on Reality of Wrestling produced by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.[4]

Beginning in 2021, Stockz became an early hip-hop adopter of a direct-to-fan music NFT sales model, minting music on blockchain platforms including Zora, Sound.xyz, and EVEN.BIZ.[5] His track "Guaranteez" was minted as a music NFT in partnership with Zora, and he subsequently released music NFTs through Sound.xyz and used EVEN.BIZ as a direct-sales release partner for his album Not Financial Advice.[5] Stockz was among the early UnitedMasters artists cited in the EVEN and UnitedMasters partnership announcement as having successfully leveraged both platforms to create direct fan experiences and increase revenue.[6]

In 2022, Stockz was a panelist on the "Meta Moguls" panel at DCentral Miami, a Binance-sponsored Web3 and crypto conference, alongside Timbaland and other artists, discussing music and cryptocurrency.[4]

ESPN, NFL and global stages (2023–2024)

Through the UnitedMasters Sync Marketplace, Stockz secured placement for his track "Guaranteez" on ESPN, resulting in spikes in streams and Shazam activity following its broadcast debut.[7] He subsequently had his song "BULLSEYE" synced for NFL broadcasts, expanding his national media presence.[7] In 2023, he released his album The Investment and performed his "Not Financial Advice" tour. In 2024, Stockz performed at Rolling Loud Thailand and participated in REVOLT World 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was among four artists featured in the "Derrick Milano Experience" showcase.[8]

The Greenprint era (2025–present)

Stockz performed at a Live Nation-headlined show at House of Blues Houston and at UT Austin's Student Founder Fest in partnership with Experian, and participated in the REVOLT and Verizon "Back in Session" HBCU Tour.[8] In May 2025, he appeared as a speaker on the Too Lost "World Builders" panel at Dream Con 2025, held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, where he was described as "an innovative artist and entrepreneur recognized for merging music with technology and finance."[9]

In 2026, Stockz was selected as an official showcasing artist at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival — the festival's 40th anniversary edition — performing five shows across Austin, Texas.[10][11] Also in 2026, he released his album The Greenprint, described on his official website as centered on themes of ownership and wealth-building.[3]

Business ventures

Stockz founded Buy Money ENT, an independent entertainment company, and Invest In Stockz LLC. He operates a Buy Money Discord community of over 500 members focused on financial education and trading.[1] He has developed brand partnerships with Nike, Adidas, Experian, Samsung, True Religion, and REVOLT TV.[8]

As an early adopter of Web3 music technology, Stockz has sold music directly to fans through blockchain platforms including Zora, Sound.xyz, and EVEN.BIZ, bypassing traditional distribution intermediaries.[5] His early adoption of the direct-to-fan model was recognized in a 2025 partnership announcement between EVEN and UnitedMasters, which named Stockz among artists who successfully leveraged both platforms to create fan experiences and increase revenue beyond streaming.[6]
