A Free Press Journal profile described Mungee as a ghazal and bhajan performer and reported that he was invited to obtain United States citizenship under a "world music" category.[4]

Early life and training

Mungee trained under vocalist Jitendra Abhisheki, a recipient of the Padma Shri, through the traditional Guru–shishya tradition of Indian classical music.[5]

Career

Mungee began performing professionally in the early 1990s and has appeared in concerts in India and internationally.[6][7][8]

He is based in the United States, where he continues to perform and teach Indian classical vocal music.[9]
