Kim Sunoo (Korean: 김선우, born June 24, 2003), known mononymously as Sunoo[1] is a South Korean singer. He is a member of the boy band Enhypen under BeLift lab, formed through the reality survival show I-Land in 2020.

Early Life
Sunoo was born on June 24, 2003, in Gwangmyeong, South Korea. At 7 years old, he moved to Suwon, South Korea. At first, he was introverted but after the move his neighbors influenced him into being more outgoing.[3]
He has a sister that is 3 years older than him. As a kid, he used to often sing and dance together with his sister and has been aspired to become a singer since he was little. However, in 7th grade, Sunoo gave up on his dreams because he hit puberty causing his voice to crack. His parents did not want him to put all his efforts into becoming an idol yet as a student, so Sunoo focused on his studies, but in 9th grade he quit cram school as he started losing interest in schooling because they blocked him from following his dreams.[4]
Career
Pre-debut and I-Land
He started to audition for entertainment agencies since 8th grade. On his first audition, he was rejected due to his voice still having cracks.[4] He auditioned to BeLift Lab with "Growl" by EXO.[5]
On June 1st, 2020, Sunoo was revealed to be a contestant on I-Land.[6] Prior to I-Land, Sunoo had been in training under BeLift for 10 months. Despite ending the competition in 8th place with 935,771 global votes, Sunoo managed to secure his debut as the 7th member because he was chosen as the producers' pick. Sunoo made his official debut as a member of Enhypen on November 30, 2020, with the extended play (EP) Border: Day One.[5][7]
2000–Present: Enhypen
In 2021, from July 18th to 27th, he was on the television show The Best Cooking Secrets with the Culinary Class Wars star Park Eunyoung.[8]
On February 10th, 2022, Sunoo tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing a fever a day earlier. This delayed his and Jungwon's feature on the EBS Radio show Listen from February 13th to February 20th.[9] It was announced on February 15th that he had recovered and his quarantine would end.[10]
On February 6, 2026, he served as a special MC of Show! Music Core with Gyuvin of Zerobaseone.[11]
Other ventures
Ambassadorship
On July 8th, Sunoo was announced to be the global ambassador to 8seconds.[12] He made his first appearance as ambassador at 8second's store opening in Manila. Along with his new position, an editorial campaign named ENHYPEN SUNOO’s Summer Record was released with four tracks.[13]
Philanthropy
Sunoo has been involved in multiple philanthropic activities. In 2025, the Samsung Medical Center (SMC) announced that Sunoo had donated 50 million won. He had formerly donated 100 million won to the same hospital in December of 2024 under the name of Patient Happiness Fund. In March of 2025, he donated 30 million won to the Korea Disaster Relief Association after the forest fire outbreak in the Gyeongsang region.[14][15]
