Suresh Kumar Pandey is an Indian ophthalmologist, academic, and writer. He serves as the director of SuVi Eye Institute and LASIK Laser Centre, Kota, Rajasthan.[1] Pandey specializes in cataract and refractive surgery and has published research in peer-reviewed journals and medical textbooks. He has also been involved in rural eye care programs and mobile eye units in Rajasthan.[2]

Early life and education

Pandey was born in Mohna village tehsil Rawatbhata, Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan.[3] He completed his MBBS degree from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur, in 1991.[1] He pursued postgraduate training, an MS in Ophthalmology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research PGIMER, Chandigarh, in 1997.[4]

He later undertook fellowships in cataract and corneal surgery at institutions including the Storm Eye Institute, Medical University of South Carolina, and the John A. Moran Eye Center, University of Utah.[1]

Career

In 2006, Pandey and his wife, Dr. Vidushi Sharma, founded the SuVi Eye Institute and LASIK Laser Centre in Kota, Rajasthan. The institute provided specialized programs including cataract, refractive, corneal, and pediatric eye care.

Pandey has performed cataract and refractive procedures, including surgeries on children, and is actively involved in community outreach programs.[3] The institute has a Mobile Eye Care Unit in Rajasthan that provides eye examinations, cataract diagnosis, and treatment to people living in rural and underserved areas.[2]

Research and Contributions
