Biography
Tezuka was born in Tokyo, Japan. He studied architecture at Musashi Institute of Technology and received a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.University of Pennsylvania School of Design. He co-founded Tezuka Architects with Yui Tezuka. The firm’s work includes educational and public buildings that emphasize openness and interaction."Tezuka Architects". He is a professor at Tokyo City University and has lectured internationally, including at Harvard Graduate School of Design and Yale University."Harvard GSD".
International recognition
Tezuka became widely known through his TED Talk, ‘‘The best kindergarten you’ve ever seen’’, which has received millions of views and has been referenced in discussions of learning environments."TED Talk". Architectural philosophy
Tezuka’s work focuses on human behavior, movement, and interaction within space. He has described architecture as “not a thing but an event,” emphasizing experience over static form."TED".
