Comment: maybe an additional secondary source would be great.since there is already a Tanager-1 page accepted via afc, I think this should be accepted too.however, I wonder whether it would be better to have the Carbon Mapper draft accepted before, and include both Tanager-1 and 2 within Carbon Mapper instead of separate pages. The satellite is being built by Planet Labs and will carry a hyperspectral imaging spectrometer developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.[3]
Background
Tanager-2 forms part of the Carbon Mapper initiative, which aims to monitor methane and carbon dioxide emissions from space using hyperspectral imaging satellites.[1] The first satellite in the series, Tanager-1, was launched in August 2024 to detect greenhouse gas emissions such as methane from individual facilities.[4]
