The Product Consortium is a Belgian professional community for product managers, chief product officers (CPOs), founders, and product designers working in SaaS and scale-up companies. Founded in 2022 by Bjorn Vuylsteker, the organisation is headquartered in Ghent and hosts events across Belgium.[1]

History
The Product Consortium was founded in 2022 in Ghent, Belgium, with the goal of creating a curated community for product professionals in the Belgian technology ecosystem.[2] The first gathering took place in October 2022 at WeGroup in Ghent, before the formal founding of the organisation.[3]
The community grew from informal quarterly gatherings to a structured membership organisation with over 400 members by 2025.[4] Events have been hosted at the offices of Belgian technology companies including Showpad, Teamleader, Aikido Security, and others across Ghent, Brussels, and Antwerp.[5]
In November 2023, the organisation launched PR_D_CT DAY, an annual full-day unconference focused on product management.[6] PR_D_CT DAY 2024 attracted more than 250 product professionals and was co-hosted with ProductTank Belgium.[1][7] In 2025, the conference expanded to two editions: a first francophone edition in Louvain-la-Neuve and a Ghent edition, with support from VLAIO (Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship).[8][9]
The community has a strategic partnership with Sirris, Belgium's collective centre for the technology industry.[8]
Activities
Gatherings
The Product Consortium organises quarterly gatherings for product professionals, typically hosted at the offices of Belgian technology companies. Each gathering features two speakers and attracts 40 to 80 attendees.[5][10] Topics have included product-led growth, artificial intelligence in product management, inclusive design, behavioural economics, and scaling product teams.[3]
Events are held primarily in Ghent, with additional events in Brussels and Antwerp.[3]
PR_D_CT DAY
PR_D_CT DAY is an annual full-day conference co-organised with Sirris and supported by VLAIO.[8][9] The event brings together product leaders for talks, discussions, and networking. The 2024 edition attracted over 250 attendees and was sold out.[1][7] In 2025, the conference expanded to two Belgian cities for the first time.[11]
The programme is built around three parallel tracks covering product management at different company stages, from growth-stage startups to mature organisations.[12]
Workshops
The organisation offers practical, hands-on workshops for product professionals, covering topics such as product discovery, AI tooling, and product strategy.[3]
