History
Formation and early years

Their music combined traditional ska rhythms with elements of soul, metal, jazz, and punk rock, reflecting the diversity of the Southern California alternative music scene at the time.
The Skeletones performed alongside other ska and alternative bands during the rise of third-wave ska in the United States. Their performances helped establish a following in the regional ska community.
Later activity
The Skeletones remained intermittently active through the 2000s and 2010s, performing occasional live shows and reunions. Members of the band also pursued other musical projects and collaborations within the ska and alternative music communities.
