Education
Louis-Lucas studied at ECE Paris, an engineering school in Paris, where he obtained an Engineer's degree in computer science between 2009 and 2014.[2]
Career
Early ventures (2015–2020)
In 2015, Louis-Lucas and Thomas Jacquesson co-founded Pistache, a mobile application for parents. The company was later sold after failing to reach the revenue necessary to scale.[3]
In 2017, Louis-Lucas founded Dreamz, an educational coding game backed by external funding. The venture did not generate sufficient revenue and was closed. Louis-Lucas subsequently worked as chief technology officer at another company before leaving in 2020.[3]
Pony Express (2021)
In early 2021, Louis-Lucas and Jacquesson founded Pony Express, a software company based on a rapid product development model. The two co-founders launched a series of products at short intervals, assessing viability based on revenue generated rather than user sign-ups. Eleven products were released before Tweet Hunter gained commercial traction.[3]
Tweet Hunter
Tweet Hunter was launched in May 2021 as a tool for Twitter users to discover high-performing content and grow their audience. The product was later expanded to include tweet scheduling, AI-assisted content generation, and relationship management features.
Louis-Lucas entered into a distribution partnership with JK Molina, a Twitter content creator, offering him an equity stake in the product in exchange for promotion to his audience. Following this arrangement, monthly revenue increased from approximately $3,000 to over $20,000.[4]
Taplio
Louis-Lucas subsequently developed Taplio, a comparable tool for LinkedIn users, using a shared codebase and a similar distribution model. Prior to the acquisition of Pony Express, Tweet Hunter had approximately 5,000 users and Taplio approximately 3,000, with combined annual recurring revenue (ARR) of around $1 million.[3]
Acquisition by Lempire (2022)
In early 2022, Louis-Lucas and Jacquesson sought a buyer for Pony Express, citing dependence on third-party platforms — specifically uncertainty surrounding Twitter following reported interest from Elon Musk, and compliance concerns related to LinkedIn's API policies.[5]
Following an unsuccessful attempt to sell through a broker, Louis-Lucas negotiated directly with Guillaume Moubeche, founder of Lempire, whom he had known since childhood. The deal was agreed within approximately two weeks. The terms included an upfront payment of $2 million and earn-out provisions linked to future revenue performance. Louis-Lucas stated publicly that total proceeds were expected to reach between $10 million and $15 million.[3] The acquisition was confirmed by Lempire in a post on its company blog.[6]
Tweet Hunter and Taplio reached a combined ARR of $8 million by the time Louis-Lucas departed from the company in April 2024.[7]
TMAKER (2023–present)
After leaving Lempire, Louis-Lucas founded TMAKER, a holding company through which he develops and acquires SaaS products. In September 2023, he acquired Typeframes.com, an AI-powered text-to-video tool generating less than $1,000 per month at the time of purchase. The platform was rebranded as revid.ai and expanded to support short-form video creation for social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. According to third-party reporting, revid.ai reached $1 million in ARR within 15 months of its relaunch.[8]
Other products developed or acquired under TMAKER include outrank.so, an SEO automation tool; feather.so, a blog publishing tool integrated with Notion, acquired in April 2024; SuperX.so, a growth tool for X; and PostSyncer, a social media scheduling tool.
