The National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (Spanish: Unidad Nacional para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres), abbreviated as UNGRD, is an independent government agency of the Colombian government in charge of disaster risk reduction and managing disaster response in Colombia and abroad in representation of the Colombian national government.[3]

History
The UNGRD was established on 3 November 2011 by Decree 4147 of 2011 and its functions were defined by Law 1523 of 2012.[4]
In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, the UNGRD mobilized 14 tons of humanitarian aid to Haiti including . Previously the UNGRD 2021 Haiti earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake
