In June 2019, private equity firm Bow River Capital announced the creation of Veregy as a unifying trade name for a group of energy services businesses in its portfolio.[1] In 2020, the company was acquired by Court Square Capital Partners.[7][8]
Veregy is listed by the U.S. Department of Energy as an energy service company holding a DOE Generation 4 (Gen4) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) contract.[9]
History
In June 2019, Bow River Capital announced the creation of Veregy as a trade name following the combination of six portfolio companies, naming Midstate Energy (Phoenix, Arizona), Urban Energy Solutions (Tempe, Arizona), Control Technology & Solutions (St. Louis, Missouri), Johnson-Melloh Solutions (Indianapolis, Indiana), Dynamix Energy Services (Columbus, Ohio), and Dynamix Engineering (Columbus, Ohio).[1][10]
In November 2020, Court Square Capital Partners acquired Veregy from Bow River Capital; financial terms were not disclosed in the public announcement coverage.[7][8]

NAESCO describes Veregy as offering energy efficiency upgrades, performance contracting, commissioning, controls, engineering services, solar generation, and battery storage for public- and private-sector clients.[2]
Accreditations and affiliations
- DOE ESPC Gen4 IDIQ: The U.S. Department of Energy lists Veregy, LLC as a holder of a DOE ESPC Generation 4 (Gen4) IDIQ contract.[9]

- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ESPC MATOC IV: In June 2025, the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville stated that it awarded a $3 billion ESPC Multiple Award Task Order Contract IV (MATOC IV) and listed Veregy LLC among the ESCOs awarded positions to compete for task orders.[14]

- St. Louis Public Library (Missouri): The St. Louis Public Library reported working with Veregy on solar photovoltaic installations and other energy efficiency upgrades at several branches (including Buder and Julia Davis).[15]
- Cartwright Elementary School District No. 83 (Arizona): Energy Services Media reported that the district executed a $40 million energy savings performance contract (ESPC) and identified Midstate Energy as completing the ESPC, describing Midstate Energy as a Veregy company.[16]
- Arlington Municipal Airport (Washington): Local reporting in 2024 described the City of Arlington and Arlington Municipal Airport partnering with Veregy on a solar array project.[17][18]
- Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport (Illinois): Midwest Flyer Magazine reported that the Springfield Airport Authority collaborated with Veregy on a solar array project announced in connection with a 2022 groundbreaking.[19] The airport has also described Veregy overseeing construction of the solar array on its website.[20] In 2024, Capitol City Now reported that the airport's solar project received an Airports Going Green award and noted collaboration with Veregy.[21]
