Warrick Grier (born January 1st, 1970) is a South African actor based in Cape Town. He was the Artistic Director of the Bantam Theatre in Marvejols, France between 1995 to 1997. In 1998, he founded the Cape Town Theatre Lab.

Early Life

Grier graduated from the University of Cape Town in the late 90’s before working in Johannesburg for several years. He studied further underJacques Lecoq. After completing his Diploma at the Lecoq school in Paris, he moved to Barcelona where he worked as the Artistic Director of Bantam Theatre. After several years spent working in Europe he returned to South Africa, specifically Cape Town, to finally settle down.[1]

Career

Warrick has been acting in both independent and Hollywood Films for over 40 years. He got his start when he starred in To the Death, in 1993 as a cop. Soon after, he was starring in bit-parts for Freefall (1994), Pirates of the Plain (1999) and Shark Attack 2 (2000).[2] In 2010, he appeared as the death race participate ‘Calin’ in the Universal Studios Video Movie Death Race 2, starring opposite Luke Goss, Ving Rhames and Danny Trejo. [3] Other on screen credits include Dredd, White Lies,[4] Black Sails and Street Trash. [5]
