Xapa World, Inc.
'Xapa World, Inc. (pronounced 'za-pa') is an American enterprise software company headquartered in Silicon Valley, California. Founded in 2021 by technology executive Christine Heckart[1][2], the company provides an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven coaching and professional development platform designed to facilitate organizational transformation. The platform combines behavioral science and gamification to align employee development with corporate strategic goals.[3]
History
Founding (2021–present) Xapa World was established by Christine Heckart following her tenure as CEO of Scalyr.[4] The company was founded to scale professional leadership training, traditionally reserved for senior leaders, to the broader workforce through digital delivery.
The company is headquartered in Silicon Valley. In 2021, Heckart's previous venture, Scalyr, was acquired by the cybersecurity firm SentinelOne for approximately $155 million in cash and equity.[5][6][7][8] The acquisition of Scalyr provided the foundational capital and momentum for Xapa's launch.
Funding
The company is venture-backed, with investments from firms including Shasta Ventures, Heroic Ventures, Fabric VC, and Yucatan Rock Ventures[9]. While specific funding round totals for Seed or Series A have not been publicly disclosed as of early 2026, the company has attracted interest from Silicon Valley angel investors and veteran tech executives.[10][11]
Platform
Xapa provides a "system of activation" delivered via web and mobile applications (iOS and Android). The platform is designed for mid- to large-sized enterprises undergoing strategic shifts, including mergers and acquisitions, digital transformations, and cultural resets.
Instructional Design
Professional development is delivered through "Quests," which are five-minute micro-learning modules.
- Company Vault: customer centralized mission, vision, values, goals, policies, plans and playbooks, that enables AI coaches to deliver company specific, real-time guidance to employees in the flow of work.
- Gamification: Users utilize 3D avatars and participate in a virtual economy, earning in-app currency and badges for module completion.
- Content Library: The platform includes scripted scenarios covering topics such as AI fluency, sales training, and "human fundamentals" like self-awareness and resilience.
Leadership
The company’s leadership team consists of several veteran executives from the technology and media sectors:
- Christine Heckart, Chief Executive Officer (CEO): Former CEO of Scalyr and executive at Microsoft, Cisco, NetApp, and Juniper.
- Uday Keshavdas, Chief Operating Officer (COO): Former leader at Snowflake and Box.
- Leon Papkoff, Chief Technology Officer (CTO): Former founder of CXApp and CEO of Design Reactor.
