Yoonchae Jeung (Korean: 정윤채; born December 6, 2007), also known as Yoonchae Jeong and mononymously as Yoonchae, is a South Korean singer based in Los Angeles, California. She is a member of the girl group Katseye, which debuted on June 28, 2024, under Hybe UMG and Geffen Records, after competing in the global reality show Dream Academy in 2023.[1][2]

Early life
Career
2019–2023: Pre-debut
Jeung became a K-pop trainee at the age of 12.[3] She spent two years at WakeOne before transferring to Hybe in 2023.[3]
2023–present: Dream Academy and debut with Katseye
In 2023, Jeung participated as one of twenty contestants in The Debut: Dream Academy, the global audition program by Hybe and Geffen Records.[1][2][5] She placed fourth overall and became a member of Katseye.[1][2][5] The group debuted on June 28, 2024, with the single "Debut", which was included in their first EP SIS (Soft Is Strong).[6]
On December 25, 2025, Jeung performed a special collaboration stage with TXT's Yeonjun at the SBS Gayo Daejeon, performing "Let Me Tell You" and "Talk to You".[7][8] The performance received positive attention for showcasing her stage presence.[7][8]

Jeung has gained individual recognition for her makeup style. In May 2025, Teen Vogue featured her explaining her signature viral blush technique, which involves applying blush directly under the eyes for a youthful effect.[4] The look became a popular trend on social media.[4]

As a contestant of Dream Academy, Jeung participated in the promotional release of the contestants' shared songs for competition. It was performed on November 17, 2023, and released to streaming platforms on August 21, 2024.[6]
