Known for his ascent of Shaolin, graded 9A (V17), one of the hardest boulders in the world. He is considered one of the strongest American boulderers.[3]
Climbing career

Bouldering
On December 4, made the third ascent of Shaolin 9A. Galla stated "no other climb has ever challenged me the same way as Shaolin", and estimated he fell on the final move 25 times before sending it.[3][4]
Competition climbing
Third at bouldering national championships in 2021.[5] Junior national champion in 2018.[6]
Bronze in combined boulder and lead event at Pan American Games 2023.
Made the finals of the Bouldering World Cup at Salt Lake City event in May 2021, finishing 5th.
