Kevin Francis Hickey, known professionally as Zhone, is a Grammy-nominated[1] American songwriter and producer. [2] He has written and produced songs such as Rush by Troye Sivan, Talk Talk by Charli XCX ft Troye Sivan, and Joyride by Kesha. In 2025, he produced and co-wrote on five tracks on Zara Larsson's Midnight Sun, including Crush, as well as executive produced Demi Lovato's ninth studio album It's Not That Deep. [3] [4] [5]

Early life
Kevin Hickey was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland, playing guitar and listening to bluegrass and Irish celtic music with his family. Before moving to LA, Kevin was a high school teacher in Baltimore. He also toured with indie synthpop band Chaos Chaos.[6]
Career
After "Horsey" by Alex Chapman ft Kim Petras was released in May 2022[7], Emmanuel Kiriakou encouraged Kevin to pursue music in Los Angeles [8], where he then began writing and producing dance-pop songs with an array of artists including Rose Gray, Kylie Minogue, Adéla, Inji, Debbii Dawson, Maude Latour, and Mette Towley.[9] In 2023 Kevin co-wrote and produced Rush by Troye Sivan, and was nominated for Best Pop Dance Recording and Best Music Video at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.[10] At the 2023 ARIA Music Awards, the song won Song of the Year, Best Produced Release and Best Engineered Release, as well as winning Song of the Year at the APRA Music Awards in 2024.[11] [12] In 2026, Zhone produced "Low Rise Jeans", the first release off Demi Lovato's deluxe album "It's Not That Deep (Unless You Want It To Be)".[13]
