Why this page merits an article on itself:
The Siemens Venture page doesn't really explain clearly Amtrak's order of 83 new trains. There are 3 fundamentally different types of trainsets. The trainsets are composed of different types of modified Siemens Charger locomotives and Siemens Venture cars, so it doesn't really fit in the passenger car page. As the trainsets will enter service very soon-sometime this year as the 3rd trainset was delivered on Apr 22, 2026. This massive order is slowly replacing the older Amfleet cars, and will become the backbone of the fleet. So the 3 different types of trainsets should be clearly described on a page of it's own. Significant additions will be made to this page as expected as this will be the main article for all Amtrak intercity train types. Also, the Siemens Venture page describes single or 2-car types, which differ significantly both in operation and service. This is the unified page for Amtrak's massive order to overhaul the American passenger rail rolling stock. Acelalover (talk) 04:15, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
Slower than Chargers?
Why is the top speed in diesel mode only 110 miles per hour (177 km/h), unlike 125 (200 kmh) for normal Siemens Chargers such as those in Florida on Brightline? B137 (talk) 02:47, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- As the creator of the page, I only quoted the Siemens paper. I also personally think it should be 125 mph. If you can, please approve this page for creation. Thank you! Acelalover (talk) 18:49, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
