Notability
The draft now meets WP:ANYBIO. I think the draft meets criteria 2 of WP:ANYBIO because Lindsay Levin has made a significant impact in the field of leadership The top three sources for notability are:
- The Leadership Challenge (here's a link to the relevant chapter: https://catalogimages.wiley.com/images/db/pdf/B0787956783.01.pdf)
- Wilson, Carol (2014-01-03). Performance Coaching: A Complete Guide to Best Practice Coaching and Training. Kogan Page Publishers. ISBN 978-0-7494-7032-6.
- Radnyi Godase, “Book Review: Invisible Giants: Changing the World One Step at a Time by Lindsay Levin,” Journal of Development Research, Vol. 12, No. 1 (Jan–Mar 2019), https://vesim.ves.ac.in/images/jdr/January-March-2019.pdf, p. 56. (talk) 16:09, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for providing this. However you have simply asserted that the draft meets WP:ANYBIO without any explanation how?
- In relation to WP:THREE:
- 1. The Leadership Challenge: This is a chapter co-authored by the subject so fails to meet WP:RS because it is not independent.
- 2. Performance Coaching: could you please explain how this evidences the subject's notability? Please identify specific pages where possible.
- 3. Book review: The link doesn't work, although the URL suggests this is the Journal: https://drj.ves.ac.in/pages/table-of-contents/all-issues/ ? If so, it indicates there is no 2019 edition? I cannot find this journal via the WikiLibrary Database search...

- Dear Cabrils. I have updated the REASON why I think it qualifies for WP:ANYBIO. However, you are no correct in asserting that Levin is the co-author of the chapter in the case of "The Leadership Challenge". Her name at the top of the chapter is part of an epigraph. It therefore does meet WP:RS. In relation to source 2, Performance Coaching, there is an extensive discussion of Levin's and Leaders' Quest as a social enterprise on page 90 and 91 of this book. Viljowf (talk) 11:01, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
- WP:THREE:
- 1. The Leadership Challenge: My apologies! I completely misread that. I agree it's an excellent reliable source establishing Levin's significant impact in the field of leadership.
- 2. Performance Coaching: Thank you for that specificity. Wilson is certainly a notable author, so while I can't access the book through my tools, your clarification meets the criteria (and you'll see I added that page reference tot he citation).
- 3. Book review: that new link works, and again, meets RS.
- Thanks. Cabrils (talk) 04:01, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
- Regarding point 3 - my apologies - the link must have changed since I created the page. Here is the correct link: https://vesim.ves.ac.in/assets/pdf/journals/January-March-2019.pdf I've also updated the reference in the article itself. I hope this clears things up! - @Gheus, could you please elaborate why you feel the draft still does not meet the relevant criteria? Cabrils (talk) 12:16, 4 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Cabrils I don't think she meets WP:GNG and has little chance of surviving an AfD. What is the reputation of the Journal of Development Research? I don't think it's a high-quality source or a book review that counts toward WP:AUTHOR (and book reviews aren't useful under WP:ANYBIO; they follow different criteria). Leadership Challenge isn't an independent source by any standard, in my opinion. That leaves us with only one reference: coverage in a book published by Kogan Page Publishers. I think there's a rough community consensus that books published by independent authors aren't sources we can use to satisfy WP:GNG or WP:ANYBIO. Even after so many attempts, the draft remains very promotional. So, I see no point in further submissions; this is becoming disruptive. Gheus (talk) 13:37, 7 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Gheus, I only listed what I considered the three best sources. But if you have an issue with these, there are also multiple others, for example, the two features in trade publications I added during the last edit (Director; Management Today;) and also the interview with Kouzes in "Strategic Direction". Why is the Leadership Challenge not an independent source in your view? And if the publisher is an issue she is also discussed in books published by Taylor & Francis and Routledge.
- Given the severe underrepresentation of women on Wikipedia, this is perhaps a necessary "disruption". I would also appreciate your thoughts on how this draft remains promotional - the claims are all substantiated by the sources. She WAS an early exponent of purpose-driven leadership at a time when no-one else was doing it. Viljowf (talk) 07:42, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Response to reviewers
(I moved this to here from the draft page: Cabrils)
Reponse to reviewer's comments:
- Thanks for the helpful review! I think the draft meets criteria 2 of WP:ANYBIO because she has made a significant impact in the field of leadership (see sources on talk page).
- I found and added more independent sources to replace some primary sources. Viljowf (talk) 16:26, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- More NPOV adjustments. TED talks are allowed according to WP:ABOUTSELF, though. They are used to indicate some of the subject's core ideas. And since she plays a major role at TED Countdown, this is relevant to a biographical page.Viljowf (talk) 09:50, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
- I have made 15+ NPOV adjustments (please see history for details. Viljowf (talk) 10:39, 8 June 2025 (UTC)
- I have added four more leadership trade publications that deal with Levin's leadership style and its impact - all of these are in-depth discussions running across multiple pages.
- This aligns with WP:BIO, in particular: "Generally, a person who is "part of the enduring historical record" will have been written about, in depth, independently in multiple history books in that field, by historians. A politician who has received "significant press coverage" has been written about, in depth, independently in multiple news feature articles, by journalists. An actor who has been featured in magazines has been written about, in depth, independently in multiple magazine feature articles, by magazine article writers. An actor or TV personality who has "an independent biography" has been written about, in depth, in a book, by an independent biographer.
Ergo: A leadership coach will be notable if she has been written about, independently, in multiple leadership publications. Viljowf (talk) 17:17, 7 June 2025 (UTC) Cabrils (talk) 00:36, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
