Wikipedia:Destubathon of the Americas
Crossposting
You are invited to participate in the Destubathon of the Americas, a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of Wikipedia's 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of old, stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! -- Rosiestep (talk) 23:30, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Request for review: User-space draft on Lakshmi Iyer (writer)
I have prepared a user-space draft about the writer Lakshmi Iyer (myself, with conflict of interest disclosed) and would appreciate review by an uninvolved editor before any move to mainspace. The draft is at User:Prabhakannan01/Lakshmi Iyer.
The subject is the author of the children's book Why Is My Hair Curly? (Westland / Red Panda imprint, 2020), an essayist published in The Hindu, Indian Express, Financial Express, The Week (India), HuffPost, and India Abroad, has been featured on NPR's The Takeaway and the BBC Asian Network, and is a central subject of the documentary Love Chaos Kin (2025) by Chithra Jeyaram, which premiered as the Centerpiece selection at CAAMFest 2025. The documentary has played twelve-plus festivals and won several awards, with reviews in Mediaversity Reviews and Film Festival Today that name the subject substantively.
COI disclosed on user page and on the draft talk page. Happy to revise based on feedback. Thanks.

- Updating: three weeks in with no reviewer feedback here, so I have also submitted the draft via Articles for Creation per the standard escalation path. Happy to address any concerns from this project in parallel. Prabhakannan01 (talk) 00:45, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

List of Yiddish women writers
Cross-posting the notification from Women in Red. And adding links to list 1 and list 2 for ease of access. Perhaps someone has time/inclination/proficiency to add the names (900+) to Wikidata. --Rosiestep (talk) 14:42, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
