Dream Note is an independent band[1][2] based in Jaipur, India and formed in 2014.[3][4] Founded by singer-songwriter Gaurav Tiwari and bassist Sachin Singh, the band now consists of six members.[5] Their music displays ambient and dreamy pop, folk and rock influences.[6] Since its inception, the band has released two EPs and several singles.

Formed by musicians hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Dream Note first started out as a cover band, covering Bollywood classics like "Chand Si Mehbooba" (1965) by Mukesh and "Humein Tumse Pyar" (1981) by Kishore Kumar.[4] The band released its first original single, a pop number, "Tere Janey Ke Baad" in 2017.[4] This was followed by a number of soulful indi-pop tracks, namely, "Waqt Ki Baatein" (2018), "Na Kehna Tum" (2019), "Khidkiyan" (2020) and "Kaisi Ye Jagah Hai" (2020).

The band released its debut EP, an indi-pop and indi-folk record, Girgit Damroo And The Good Trip, in 2020.[7] It consists of five tracks. Following the release, the group's production was momentarily interrupted when guitarist-producer Taresh Agarwal suffered a major accident.[6] Then, they started working on their second EP, Dhun, in December 2021.[7] The five-track[8] acoustic,[7] ukulele-based[9] record was released on May 5, 2022[10] in association with French independent digital music distribution and artist services company Believe.[8][11]

Following the release of their second EP, Dhun, Dream Note embarked on their first, six-day tour[12] called 'The Dream Tour' on May 11, 2022. They covered the cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, New Delhi, Chandigarh and concluded the tour in their hometown of Jaipur on May 28, 2022.[12][7]

Dream Note also was featured on Spotify's emerging artist program, RADAR India, in 2021.[11]
