Edward Longacre

Edward G. Longacre (born December 22, 1946) is an American historian and writer. He specializes in American Civil War historiography. He received a doctorate in American history from Temple University, where he studied under the late Professor Russell F. Weigley.[1] Since 2000, he has been an honorary director of the United States Cavalry Association.[2]
He was born on December 22, 1946.[3] He was born and raised in New Jersey[3] and has been a resident of Audubon, New Jersey.[4]
