El Tagola (Arabic: التقولا), or Al-Takula, is a village in South Kordofan, Sudan. It's known for its gold mines[1] that used toxic cyanide for extraction.[2][3] There have been reports of protests and conflicts in the area related to the mining activities.[2][3]
