The Election Commissioners Act 1949 (12, 13 & 14 Geo. 6. c. 90) was an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that consolidated enactments relating to election commissioners.[1]

Repealed enactments

Section 21(1) of the act repealed 7 enactments, listed in the schedule to the act.[2]

Subsequent developments

The whole act was repealed by section 24(1) of, and Part I of Schedule 3 to, the Representation of the People Act 1969 (1969 c. 15), which came into force on 12 May 1969.[3]
