Ertan Baştuğ

Ertan Baştuğ first made a significant impact on the international taekwondo scene with a silver medal at the 1998 European Championships held in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Competing in the –72 kg weight class, this achievement established him as a strong contender in European taekwondo.^[1]

In 2002, he reached the pinnacle of his career by winning the gold medal at the European Championships hosted in Samsun, Turkey, solidifying his status as a leading athlete in his category. Two years later, Baştuğ again claimed the European Championship title in Lillehammer, Norway, further demonstrating his consistent high-level performance.^[2]

Following his competitive career, Ertan Baştuğ has been involved in sports education and coaching, contributing to the development of taekwondo in Turkey.^[3]
