Ethel Webling

Ethel Webling (26 October 1859[1] 1929) was an English artist, specialising in portrait miniatures and illustration.

Ethel Webling was born in St Pancras, London[2] and was the daughter of Robert James Webling, a silversmith and jeweler, and his wife Maria.[3] She had four sisters named Lucy, Josephine, Rosalind, and Ruth, who were all dramatic actors,[1] and another named Peggy who was an author and playwright.[4] Ethel, the eldest of the siblings, took up art, studying at the Slade School of Art.[1]
