Written by guitarist John Spinks and produced by William Wittman, the song became one of the group's most recognizable tracks in the United States. The single featured a song titled "Tiny Lights", a song that isn't part of any of their albums.

Music video
A music video was directed by David Fincher to accompany the single, featuring the band performing in a dimly lit concert at night.[3]
