Falaye Sacko (born 1 May 1995) is a Malian professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Azerbaijani Premier League club Neftçi and the Mali national team.[1]

Sacko made his professional debut in the Segunda Liga for Vitória de Guimarães B on 17 February 2016 in a game against Atlético CP.[2]

On 31 January 2022, the last day of the Portuguese transfer window, Sacko was loaned to Saint-Étienne.[3] On 1 July 2022, he joined Montpellier on loan for the season.[4]

On the 10th of August 2025, Sacko joined Neftçi on a free transfer signing a two-year contract, with an additional year as an option.

International career

Sacko made his international debut for the Mali national team in a 1–1 friendly tie with Japan on 23 March 2018.[5]

He then played four matches during the second half of 2018 as part of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.

On 16 June 2019, Sacko scored his first goal for Mali in a friendly match against Algeria, although his team was defeated 3–2. He took part in his first international tournament at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

In December 2021, Sacko was named by head coach Mohamed Magassouba in Mali’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.[6][7]

On 2 January 2024, he was included in the list of twenty-seven Malian players selected by Éric Chelle to compete in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.[8]
