Field Recordings, Vol. 1 is a mixtape by Charley Crockett, released on Son of Davy through Thirty Tigers on April 3, 2020.
The album would be recorded at the farm of Kyle Madrigal, a close friend of Crockett's, in Mendocino County, California. The album was done in a similar vein to Crockett's debut studio album A Stolen Jewel from 2015, which Madrigal also featured on. The tracks were recorded on nothing more than a CB radio microphone, a rotary telephone, and a 4-track tape recorder.[1][2]
