Fifteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition

All competitors were required to play the commissioned work in their 45-minute Preliminary Round recital. It was Toccata on "L'homme armé", a 4- to 6-minute work composed by pianist-composer jury member Marc-André Hamelin.^[1]

Winners of the top prizes:

A record 290 entries from 43 countries were received for the competition.^[2] On March 7, 2017 the 30 competitors from 17 countries were announced.^[3]
