"Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" is a song by American rapper Rich Homie Quan. It was released on February 10, 2015, as a single from his fifth mixtape If You Ever Think I Will Stop Goin' in Ask RR (Royal Rich) and Summer Sampler (2015). The song was produced by DJ Spinz and Nitti Beatz.[1] The song's music video features Quan surrounded by women and luxury cars, with critics noting its distinctive filtering. In one scene, he performs a dance that became popular following the video's release and later inspired iLoveMemphis's "Hit the Quan", a song named after and based on the dance. "Flex" became Quan's most successful solo single in the United States being certified 4x Platinum.

Composition
"Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" is a trap song built around a synth-driven beat produced by DJ Spinz and Nitti Beatz. Exclaim! described the production as "Mustard-styled", while Pitchfork characterized it as a "slinky post-Mustard slap".[2] Quan delivers the song with a mumble rap style.[3] Lyrically, "Flex" is a braggadocious track centered on Quan flaunting his wealth, success and proficiency with women.[4][5]
Music video
The official music video for "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" was released on April 1, 2015 and was directed by Be El Be.[6][7] Exclaim! called the video "a bright, colourful clip [that] sees Quan hanging out with a plethora of models and checking out some fancy cars. He's wearing a ridiculous outfit, and the video's made even more eye-popping with a filter that gives everything a white glow", while Pitchfork noted its Instagram-style filtering.[8][9] One sequence features Quan performing a dance involving exaggerated arm and body movements, which subsequently became known as the "the Quan".[10]
The dance was subsequently performed and popularized by other artists and social-media users, becoming a viral dance associated with the song. The phenomenon eventually inspired the Platinum-certified single "Hit the Quan" (2015) by American rapper iLoveMemphis.[11]
Commercial performance
"Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" became Rich Homie Quan's highest-charting single as a solo artist, peaking at number 26 on the US Billboard Hot 100.[12] The song also became one of his most commercially successful releases, selling 425,000 copies in the United States by August 2015.[13]
