From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frederick Strothmann (1872 – 1958) was an American illustrator of magazines and books. He also drew political cartoons and posters.
Strothmann was born in 1872, in New York City, although some sources say in 1879, in Philadelphia. Little is known about his early life, except that his parents were migrants to the United States from Germany. He studied art at the Carl Hecker School of Art in New York, the Royal Academy in Berlin and in Paris.[1]
