Gapura Angkasa

The company was founded by Garuda Indonesia, Angkasa Pura I, and Angkasa Pura II in January 1998 to provide various airport operational support services, such as apron handling, warehousing, passengers, baggage, and aircraft handling, which were previously provided by each airline individually. In 2001, the company began operating domestic warehousing at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. In 2004, the company launched its "Smart Handling" service to support the operations of low-cost airlines at the airport.

In 2005, the company began operating international warehousing at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. In 2014, Garuda Indonesia increased its share ownership in the company to 58.75%.^[4] In 2015, the company launched the Gapura Learning Center as a training center for its employees. In 2017, the company launched a passenger assistance service at the airport, called Joumpa.^[2][3]

In November 2019, Angkasa Pura II increased its stake in the company to 46.62%.^[5] In April 2022, Pelita Air Service appointed this company to provide support services for its scheduled aircraft while at the airport.^[6] In December 2023, Angkasa Pura I and Angkasa Pura II respectively handed over 46.62% and 7.76% of the company's shares they held to PT Angkasa Pura Kargo, as part of an effort to form a subholding within InJourney engaged in operational support airport.^[7]
