Ioana Oegar-Toderaș[1] (born 1987), known professionally as JJ and Geneva, is a Romanian-born American singer, rapper and songwriter.[2] She is best known for her 2010 collaboration with Romanian singer Corina, "No Sleepin," which was a Top 10 hit in Poland[3] and Romania.[4]

Early life
Career
Geneva was noticed on SoundCloud by Snoop Dogg, who featured her on a mixtape.[6]
She collaborated with Corina on the song “No Sleepin’” in 2010.[7] It was a Top 10 hit in Poland[3] and Romania.[4] A cover version of it by the German girl group LaViVe[8] also was a Top 20 hit in Germany[9] and Austria,[10] and a Top 30 hit in Switzerland.[11] At the 2011 Romanian Music Awards, the song was nominated in the categories “Best Female” and “Best Video.”[12]
As JJ, she also collaborated with Romanian singer Elena Gheorghe on the song “Pana Dimineata,” (“Until Morning”)[13][14][15][16] which premiered at the 2013 Media Music Awards.[17]
Geneva collaborated with Corina on another song, “Superstar,” which was released in 2020.[18][19]
Geneva was the first Romanian hip-hop artist to be signed to Swedish record label X-Level Studios (formerly EMI Studios and Abbey Road Studios).[20][15] She has also worked with other labels such as HaHaHa Production.[21]
