George Hugh Bourne

George Hugh Bourne (8 November 1840 – 2 December 1925) was a hymnodist, schoolmaster and warden, chaplain to the Bishop of Bloemfontein, and ultimately on the staff of Salisbury Cathedral as Sub-dean and Prebendary.
He was born on 8 November 1840 at St Paul's Cray, Kent, England.[1] Bourne was the son of the Revd R. B. Bourne and was educated at Eton College and at Christ Church, Oxford (BA 1863, BCL 1866, DCL 1871).
