Gherăești is a commune in Neamț County, Western Moldavia, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Gherăești, Gherăeștii Noi, and Tețcani.

At the 2002 census, 100% of the 6,389 inhabitants were Romanians; 89% were Roman Catholic and 10.7% Romanian Orthodox. At the 2021 census, the commune had a population of 4,715; of those, 87.3% were Romanians.[3]
