Giselle Anne Ansley (born 31 March 1992) is an English field hockey player who plays as a defender for the England and Great Britain national teams.
Ansley was educated at Churston Ferrers Grammar School, Brixham, Devon.[citation needed]
She was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to hockey.[1][2]
In 2018, she received an honorary degree from Loughborough University.[3]
Club career
Ansley plays club hockey in the Dutch Hoofdklasse for HGC.[4]
She played club hockey in the Women's England Hockey League Premier Division for Surbiton,[5] Loughborough Students and Plymouth Marjon.[6][7][8]
Ansley returned to Surbiton and during the 2024–25 Women's England Hockey League season she was part of the Surbiton team that finished runner-up in the league behind Reading.[9]
