Gopalganj is a city in Gopalganj District in the Dhaka Division of Bangladesh.[2] Spanning an area of 6.5 sq mi (16.9 km2), the city serves as the headquarters of Gopalganj District and Gopalganj Sadar Upazila.[citation needed]
