Greggory D. "Gregg" Hull is an American politician and businessman who has served as mayor of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, since 2014.[1][2][3] He is the longest-serving mayor in Rio Rancho history.[4] He is running for Governor of New Mexico in the 2026 election as a Republican.[1][5]
Mayorship
Hull was first elected in 2014 in a runoff election and was re-elected in both 2018 and 2022.[4][6] Rio Rancho, the state's third-largest city, was the fastest-growing city in New Mexico while he was mayor.[1][4] While he was mayor, Hull doubled the city's police budget and pursued pro-business economic development policies.[5] In November 2025, he announced he would not seek a fourth term in order to focus on his gubernatorial campaign.[3] In 2026, Paul Wymer was elected to the Mayorship of Rio Rancho, Succeeding Gregg Hull. He will be sworn in on April 30th, 2026, and his official term will start on May 1st, 2026.[7]
