Gunwi-eup

Gunwi (Korean: 군위) is a town, or eup in Gunwi County of the Daegu Metropolitan City in South Korea. The township Gunwi-myeon was upgraded to the town Gunwi-eup in 1979. The Gunwi County office and Gunwi Town office are located in Dongbu-ri.

As of 2024, Gunwi has a population of 7,606, of which 51.7% are male and 48.3% are female, compared to the national average of 50.1% and 49.9% respectively. People under 15 years old make up 7.1% of the population, and people over 65 years old make up 32.9%, compared to the national average of 10.5% and 19.5% respectively. Foreigners make up 4.4% of the total population, compared to 3.9% nationwide.[1][3]
