Hanna Drul

Hanna Drul was born on 22 September 1960, in Chervonohrad (now Sheptytskyi) in the Lviv Oblast.

In 1979, she graduated from the Lviv Ivan Trush School of Applied Arts,^[2] and in 1984, from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (specialty teachers Karlo Zvirynskyi, Petro Markovych [uk], Emmanuil Mysko [uk]). From 1987, she worked at the Lviv Experimental Ceramic and Sculptural Factory. From 1998 to 2001, she headed the ceramics section of the Lviv organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Currently, she is engaged in creative work.^[3]

From 1987, she has presented her works at all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions. Solo exhibitions have been held in Lviv (1989, 2000, 2006, 2013,^[4] 2015 (together with Iryna Marko),^[3] 2020,^[5][6] 2022^[7][8]), Kraków (1996, 2003–2004), Chernivtsi (2014),^[6] and Odesa (2016).^[6] The artist's oeuvre includes decorative compositions, reliefs, and sculptures. Individual works are preserved in the collections of the National Museum-Preserve of Ukrainian Pottery [uk] in Opishnia, the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec (Poland), museums in Munich (Germany), Kraków, Wrocław (Poland), Toronto (Canada), and private collections.^[2]
