Hawain (transl.The Winds) is a 1995 Pakistani television series written by Asghar Nadeem Syed and directed by Haider Imran Rizvi. The series is about the struggle of a family whose patriarch is arrested on false charges of murder.[2][3] The series was the acting debut of Komal Rizvi.[4]

At the time it was alleged that the series is inspired by the incidents of the then former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's trial and the subsequent struggle of her daughter Benazir Bhutto.[5]

Synopsis

The story revolves around Shehnaz (Ghazala), a teacher, and her daughters Saima (Huma) and Asma (Komal). Later she faces a hard time after her husband (Talat) gets arrested on a false charge of murder and her efforts to clear the name.[6]
