Henriette Hanck

Marie Kirstine Henriette Hanck (1807–1846) was a Danish poet and novelist from Odense. She is remembered in particular for her correspondence with her childhood friend Hans Christian Andersen. After writing poetry in the early 1830s, she wrote two romantic novels: Tante Anna, published anonymously in 1838, followed by En Skribentindes Datter (A Female Writer's Daughter) in 1842. She provided considerable moral support to Andersen in the 1830s, as can be seen from the letters he wrote to her.[1][2][3]
