Heron Bay is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Henry and Spalding counties in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its population was 4,679 as of the 2020 census.

2020 census
As of the 2020 census, Heron Bay had a population of 4,679. The median age was 40.6 years. 26.2% of residents were under the age of 18 and 13.2% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 90.0 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 87.7 males age 18 and over.[18][19]
91.6% of residents lived in urban areas, while 8.4% lived in rural areas.[20]
There were 1,493 households in Heron Bay, of which 40.3% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 62.6% were married-couple households, 10.4% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 22.8% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 13.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.[18]
There were 1,569 housing units, of which 4.8% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 2.3% and the rental vacancy rate was 4.9%.[18]
