The high jump has been held at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships annually since 1965. The women's competition began in 1983.[1]

  1. Jerrick Holmes of the Cal State Northridge Matadors track and field team originally won in 2.23 m, but he was later declared ineligible.[7][8]
