Hlongwane is the surname and clan name of the royal family of AmaNgwane.[1]
Hlongwane is the royal clan name (sibongo) of AmaNgwane[1]. AmaNgwane are also called "AmaNgwane Ka Ngwadi." Ngwadi was an influential Hlongwane king who united the Mazibuko, Mdluli, Luvuno, Ndaba, Gumede, Mahlobo, Zondo, Khaba, Zigode, Khoza, Goza, and Ntshali clans. The king of AmaNgwane is customarily from house of Hlongwane.
