Hogna idonea is a species of spider in the family Lycosidae.[1] It is endemic to South Africa and is commonly known as the East London burrow-living wolf spider.[2]

Hogna idonea is found only in East London in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.[2]

Habitat and ecology

This species is a free-living ground dweller that lives in open burrows.[2] It has been sampled from the Thicket biome at an altitude of 56 m.
