Holdemania

Genus of bacteria From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Holdemania is a Gram-positive, strictly anaerobic and non-spore-forming genus from the family Erysipelotrichaceae, with two known species: Holdemania filiformis[1][3][4] and Holdemania massiliensis.[5]

This genus was named after Lilian V. Holdeman an American microbiologist from the Anaerobe Lab at Virginia Tech.

Phylogeny

The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN)[1] and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).[6]
