"Hot Rod" is a song by the by American singer-songwriter and producer Sloan Struble, under his stage name Dayglow. The song was released on September 28, 2018, as the third track from their first studio album, Fuzzybrain (2018).
The song became a sleeper hit and was eventually certified Gold by the RIAA. It is now considered one of their most popular songs.[2]
The lyrics of the song consist of Struble saying how he feels that his relationships always end in heartbreak, with him feeling that he's being used as a prop and not as a priority.[3]
